What considerations did you make before starting the design process?
First of all we focused on Gabriela Sabatini’s personality. This was helpful in developing a unique packaging that fits Gabriela Sabatini perfectly, while at the same time capturing the light seductive spirit of the GS Daylight fragrance.

What did you want to express with your design?
Using soft-orange colours suits the fragrance very well. We felt that these colours connect directly with Gabriela Sabatini’s roots. For the user it will be possible to relate to the sensual perception of the carefree Latin American way of life as well as the art of seduction that is inherent to this lifestyle. The objective was to capture the spirit and the intensity of a radiant summer day and at the same time give the feeling that you are holding the Argentinean sun in your hands.

The GS Daylight packaging shows the radiant energy of the day. How did you come up with this design?
Obviously the name GS Daylight evokes specific associations: light, sun, energy and light heartedness. During the development of the creative concept, it was our intention to capture these specific associations in a suitable design. The process of designing and re-designing was challenging and required a long combined and dedicated effort from all those involved until we achieved an ultimate result.

What can you say in conclusion about the design project?
The design project was very exciting. The whole process was very emotional and gave all of us a great deal of creative freedom. Emotional projects like this are extremely rewarding for all those involved. They constantly challenge our creativity and that makes our job much more exciting and attractive. I believe that the Daylight concept suits Gabriela Sabatini perfectly. In my opinion she represents a balanced unity of confidence, energy and strength coupled with sensuality, seduction and femininity.
